In this video tutorial, I walkthrough the steps on how to convert files from Python 2 to Python 3 using the 2to3 program on Mac OSX. This is useful in different cases, for example, assuming you can’t find a way to port (or work on) a Python 2 library to 3.x, then it would be useful to consider starting off in 2.x and converting the script from there. As long as the 2.x script is error-free and debugged, you can convert the file effectively with 2to3 and any dependency will be supported. Make sure to have Python 2 and 3 installed on your Mac!
