In this tutorial, I walk you through how to get started with Yeoman. Yeoman is a scaffolding system that allows you to install customized web applications. This allows users to get started on brand new web projects more efficiently without having to build an application’s stack from scratch. Yeoman also allows a more streamlined process to maintain projects as several dependencies, package managers, frameworks, and task runners can be supported in one single web application. In this video, I cover how to install Yeoman along with Node.js, npm, and git. Additionally, I cover how to install the yeoman webapp generator which is a Bootstrap project consisting of SASS, Modernizer, and Gulp.js. I also recommend some tips along the way if you ever need to debug the Yeoman toolset in the case you run into any errors when installing or using it.
